What. On Earth. Was That. (2023)

narrator and orchestra
duration: 20′

Description

This work was commissioned by the Allen Philharmonic Orchestra for a family concert at the Allen Public Library. Audience participation is optional.

Maria is a curious young girl who loves spending time with her dad at their local library. And today was just like any other day reading in her favorite spot, right up until something—or possibly someone—crash landed just outside. Maria makes a new friend, one who looks small and ordinary but speaks with the voice of the whole orchestra, and see if she can help them get back on their way.
