An Open folio represents a continuously changing project. While it remains open, it is a place for experimentation, playfulness, and whimsy. As of September 2022, this collection of miniatures for vibraphone contains three pieces, and I intend to periodically return to it and add more over time. The pieces may be performed in any subset, configuration, or order, and in any context. Above all, it should be fun.
This work was jointly commissioned by the Kansas Music Teachers Association (KMTA) and the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA), and was premiered at Bethel College in Newton, Kansas.
